Organic Food & Beverages Need More Supermarket Space

By Rob Sutter

Supermarket space seems to be reserved for the kinds of products that people will most certainly want. There isn't much room for organic products, from what I've seen, and I don't think that it's very fair. I believe that organic food should stand out more, even if it isn't exactly the most preferred choice for people who have become accustomed to their normal products. I can only hope that people will, in time, take better notice of these products and that their marketability only continues to climb.

Honest Tea is one of those items that definitely left me stunned at how good it was. I had heard from a few of my friends that it didn't taste good and that it wasn't worth it in the long run. However, after a while, I figured that my curiosity had to be quelled and after trying a bottle of Honey Green Tea, I was glad to see that the taste was to my liking. Add in the fact that it is healthier than other teas and I don't think I could have made a sounder purchase.

While I may not be the biggest soda drinker in the world - I usually avoid it if I can - a few of my friends are and they showed me a can of organic soda. Like many other products of this nature, it has only the base ingredients, from what I recall. Simple items such as carbonated water, cane sugar, and a few others were used in order to give the soda a pure taste, which I did not believe was possible when talking about this beverage. In the end, though, it was a good experience though I would not recommend consuming it in high amounts.

What about the kinds of stores that focus on organic food specifically? There are a few of those and they come in the form of smaller markets which are run by a few people in general. They aren't going to be the ones that have franchises like your standard supermarkets might but there seems to be more heart behind their work and you can be assured that you're given the freshest and purest products crops. For sellers who are interested, there are platforms like Colle Farmers Market which serve well in the way of transactions.

I am one of those people who will tout the positives of organic food until the proverbial cows come home and there are reasons for it. When you go to a supermarket, very rarely will you come across products that do not have any sort of manmade additive. Sweeteners and pesticides, to name a couple of examples, are not the kinds of components that people should take into their bodies at great amounts. You may be better off simply avoiding the products, if you can.
