Now if one would want to be able to have an easier time with this process, then the best thing to do is to be able build a device that will automatically allow him to shred the feathers off. So if one would want this kind of device, then here is how to make a chicken plucker.
Now the first thing to do would get a large plastic drum or wooden barrel. However, make sure that the drum or the barrel is not too big otherwise it will be hard to handle the chicken inside. It should be just tall enough to fit the entire arms inside.
The barrel holder will be the next thing to take because this is the one thing that will keep the thing in place. Now to create this, one must get a few planks of wood specifically around eight pieces. The thing to do with these few planks is to be able to connect thing and make some sort of wooden stand where in the contraption can fit.
Now once all of the planks have been put into the place, then the next thing to do would be to put some holes in the barrel. From there, build a few wooden spikes that are relatively thin and very sharp as these will be the things that will tear the feathers. Then now take these spikes and insert them into the holes slowly and securely.
From there, take the lid of the barrel and make it small enough to fit the inside. Of course size is also a very big factor here because it cannot be too big or too small. The only thing to remember here would be to be sure that the disc will not touch the sides.

Now the last thing to do would be to install the drill underneath the entire contraption so that the disc will be spinning around. Now the only thing that should be taken in consideration when it comes to the drill would be the size. The drill that will be attached to the contraption has to be rather big and heavy so that it can take the entire weight of the device.
