How To Choose The Right Chilled Drink Dispenser For Your Needs

By Tammie Caldwell

Serving guests is something that an increasing number of people want to be able to do. There has been an increased interest in appliances and devices that make home entertaining much easier and more convenient. One appliance that you may want to consider buying is a chilled drink dispenser. Using one of these can make it easier to serve juice and cola at the perfect temperature.

There are many different models on the market to choose from and the prices can vary quite a bit from model to model. By knowing which features to look for, it can help you narrow down your choices and pick the model that is right for you.

If you know the number of guests you will be serving on an average day, this should influence which model you look for as well. For example, if you usually deal with large groups of people you will want to make sure that the dispenser you buy can hold a lot of liquid. You may find that you will need to refill your dispenser frequently if you pick one that does not hold a large amount of liquid. If you keep adding new liquid you may find that it does not have the chance to get as cold as you might like it to get.

Some people will prefer to serve pop or other carbonated beverages. This may mean that they look for a different type of server than individuals who are serving flat drinks would look for. Remember that pop tends to go flat the longer it is exposed to the air. If you love fizzy drinks, look for models that allow your drinks to keep their bubbles for as long as possible.

You may also want to think about how many drinks you will be serving at one time. This will help you decide whether you want a dispenser with a single reservoir, or one that will allow you to serve multiple types of beverages at the same time. Keep in mind that models with more than one reservoir will be more expensive and will also take up more space on your counter and while you are storing it.

The length of time that a particular beverage will need to stay cold is also important. There are units that are insulated so that temperatures inside do not change as quickly. There are also units that plug in and which can keep the liquids inside chilled to a specific temperature. You may want to consider whether you will have a place to plug in your machine and this can influence whether or not you purchase a particular model.

Shopping is the last step and should only be done once you have a good idea of what features you are most interested in. While these items used to be hard to find, they are much more common these days. If you want to find models to choose from you can find them both at kitchen supply stores as well as ones that cater to restaurants.

Taking the time to consider which model you want may end up saving you time and money in the end. Then, once you have your unit all set up you can enjoy a cool, refreshing drink even on very warm days.
