Man is always desirous of everything that is good in life. Things get done day in and day out. People awake as the sun rises and retires as the sun goes down. Man works hard to make ends meet. The activities he does drain his body of energy. Movements become laborious and the thinking becomes hard. This is the time when a man has to replenish his body with nourishment. Man takes in food through the mouth. As it enters the body from esophagus to stomach and the other organs, it is transformed into kinetic energy. This force is responsible for keeping a man alive. Flora and fauna as well as beasts are source of nourishment. They can be eaten raw or cooked.

Ancient man survived by hunting animals for nourishment. The meat provided the requirements the body needed. In time man learned how to have some of these animals be domesticated and bred in backyard. This gave birth to the livestock industry. The population has exploded and the drastic increase in the number of people all over the world now requires plentiful food. More woodland conversion is taking place to make space for more agricultural products. The modern way of propagating seeds and growing them is happening with advances in technology. Meat production has also improved with better quality.

People eat different types of nutrients in different countries. In the past this is because they were dependent on what is available in the area. Certain plants do not grow in certain places. Native flora and fauna differ in every region. This also applies to domestic animals. But the fast development of transportation has made the world smaller and it is now easy to import and export products.

Food preparation differs from one country to another. Recipes comprise a wide array of ingredient. Man has the unique talent of taste differentiation. The sweet, the bitter, the salty, the sour and other improvement can easily be recognized. Nutrient preparation can be designed just to engage the taste buds. This is so true with exotic dining.

Asian cooking is best for those that like herbs and vegetables. Most are done by frying the ingredients. This type is often explored by tourists and vacationers. European style is evident in American recipes as most of their population came from the European mainland. Africans make use of fruits, cherries, and berries and also contributed to the recipes.

Human population is multiplying by the thousands and this adds to the burden that nature is already carrying. Large swaths of timberland are gone forever taken over by big cereal tracts. The seas are producing less bounty. The livestock industry though is thriving and numbers have gone up dramatically, the sad part is that as result more waste is accumulated. Man needs to conserve what nature has given.

Beyond the basic need of man to gobble, there is such thing as tasted experience. The preparation tends to please the taste buds more than the stomach. These are call comfort eating.
