How To Cook Allnatural Grass Fed Beef

By Jeffrey Thomas

When it comes to losing weight, there are often misconceptions about what a person should eat in order to be reasonably fit. While some say that all vegetables are the sure thing or foods of a certain color, experts are sure of one thing. That is that a balanced meal is essential to normal cell function and helps to maintain weight loss. One thing that is emphasized is the inclusion of a protein, like allnatural grass fed beef or chicken.

In recent, many have come to associate this essential fatty acid with fish, particularly salmon. The difference between this type of fat and saturated fat is how it is processed by the blood. While most people tend to believe that the most flavorful meat that is one that is heavily marbled. When beef has visible marbling is loaded with saturated fat, it should be only consumed on special occasions if a person has elevated cholesterol or high blood pressure.

One reason why most people prefer to include a meat entree is sustenance. Getting filled from balanced meals, along with moderate exercise, is one of the best ways to remain lean. Having beef or chicken with little to no fat is better than eating a bunch of vegetables but feeling extra hungry.

While eating a generous amount of vegetables and grains is ideal for anyone, eating entrees that are loaded with nutrients can have a great impact on overall health. What many transitioning vegans tend to suffer from is a lack of iron, which results in anemia. Even if a person chooses to have meat only once or twice a week, they need to ensure that their main meal has enough fiber and vitamins.

For those who like their seasonings simple, it helps to cover the meat with pure olive oil or one that has a high heat point, like grapeseed. This should be done before cooking so that it can penetrate the flesh slightly. One may question why one fat should be replaced by another but canola, grapeseed, and most olive oils have little to no saturated fat. If dealing with a large portion of beef, it may help to tenderize with a mallet before adding oil.

Some prefer to soak it in a marinade or use a dry rub and let sit overnight. Most prepared seasoning products on the market may help it to retain some moisture and bring a pronounced flavor throughout the meat. For a personalized touch, anyone can make their own rub using their favorite dry seasonings and control the salt or sugar content.

If a person is uncertain about the amount of beef or chicken they should have at every meal, investing in a food scale is certain to pay off. One thing that is worth noting is that lean meats have little shrinkage while cooking. These meats also tend to be denser than traditional meats that have fat marbling throughout.

For those who feel the price may be a little steep, here are some things to consider. Lean beef does not shrink as much as fatty beef after cooking. Also, the number of vitamins and nutrients makes this a nice investment in health. Normally a dense meat is more filling so it is ideal for most diet plan since most diets call for proteins and grains.
