Olive Oil Bars: Could They Be Done?

By Rob Sutter

If there's one thing that people seem to enjoy, it's the idea of a buffet. People pay a certain price and they can, in essence, eat whatever they'd like at whatever degrees they please. The price may not be the most affordable for some but the truth is that those who have nearly insatiable appetites are going to benefit from them. Olive oil may be able to work in the same way but that doesn't mean oil itself is going to be the only item on the menu.

Olive oil could very well be the centerpiece of buffets but there has to be a good number of types to choose from. Fortunately, there are companies like Bellucci Premium, which can tell you all about a number of oils that can work. Whether one person may like Tuscan or extra virgin, certain tastes are going to appeal to a number of people and I believe that's the beauty of these buffets. It gives people a chance to experiment when they couldn't otherwise.

It'd be wrong to expect a place like this to have only oil to try. As a result, you should be certain that there would be a number of foods to try these oils with, bread being one such example. There are many types that afford to be utilized and the tastes people have are going to dictate them. I believe that salad also stands a chance of being fixed, oil types being drizzled over it in lieu of typical dressing. These choices only scratch the surface of the proverbial iceberg.

There are many types of oil that should be considered but most of them will not be found in stores which sample them. While I understand the appeal to them - I enjoy them myself - I am not sure how great the range is when talking about different types. I believe that a well-constructed buffet can allow people a great range and a platform for people to try these foods. Who's to say that the level of intrigue won't go up after the sampling process?

Not only would people enjoy the taste of these oils but I think that they would benefit greatly from the health properties they contain as well. The truth is that with most oils, they contain mostly bad fats and the body would be hindered thanks to them. Olive oil is different in that they monounsaturated fats, meaning that the body can actually benefit from them and that isn't even accounting for the antioxidant supply they have as well. It serves as another reason for this idea to come to fruition.
