Ozone Sanitizer Is The Most Efficient

Since 1900 ozone has been put into many different uses. Over the past years it was used for treating water such as disinfecting swimming pools, treating sewage plants, cooling towers, spas and water supply systems. As technology is quickly becoming advanced new discoveries are being made including the fact that ozone can be used as a good sanitizer. Ozone sanitizer is being applied in processing industries and processes. It is being used for sanitization in various processes such as packaging materials, raw materials, irrigation water and recycled water.

Before 1997 ozone was only used like a purifier mainly in drinking water. However as technology is developing new discovery is being made. One of the latest discovery is the gas can be an effective safe sanitizer. In 1997 May there was a conference by scientists. The agenda of the meeting was to compile results of various studies and determine how safe the gas was for certain processes. The outcome of the meeting was an agreement that it can even be used in food processing. Since then a big number of wine industries are now using the product. Current trends indicate that more companies are now using the gas for barrel cleaning, cleaning water systems, tank cleaning and sanitation and general surface cleaning.

Increased trend of acceptance and use has been evident in other industries. Some of these industries include: meat processing facilities, produce storage facilities, fresh cut product processing and like stated above it has found its way in beverage industry and bottled water. In most of these industries ozone systems are fixed in place or permanently mounted. This feature makes ozone monitoring and management of all off-gas relatively easy hence ensuring safety.

Most companies fit the component systems in manner that they can be easily monitored. Majority of the winery industries are fixed temporary . They are moved to different locations now and then to ensure safety during use. There also several multioperating controls for the systems that are monitored constantly to ensure safety. The whole system is simplified making it easy to use and reliable.

The most recent study in this field was an experiment that was carried out in the University of Polytechnic State. The purpose of the experiment was to determine if the gas is an effective environmental sanitizer. The experiment was based in a fruit plant in food department.

There were various observations that were made from the experiment. It was deducted that spraying is the best form in which the gas can be applied. The experiment showed that the most effective means of environmental sanitization is spraying.

The component oxidizes all microorganisms in solution. This is the major advantage of ozone. It was noted that every time a surface is spray washed microbes get killed before they can escape through the drainage. It should be noted if a surface is spray washed on a daily basis a big percentage microbes are killed.

The gas has been rated as the best chemical for sanitization. It has many distinct advantages from other chemical. Most importantly it is does not necessitate any special storage, handling and mixing procedures. A few view the fact that the gas does not have residue as a disadvantage. However there chemicals other leave behind residue after use.
