Gluten Free Sweet Potato Pie Quick And Easy Recipe

Everybody likes sweet potato pie yet to try a traditional gluten free is not an easy task. You will need plenty of time on hand as the traditional method is a bit time consuming and requires effort on your part. If you really want to make your own gluten free sweet potato pie, you should simply purchase pie crust mixture that is gluten free and follow the given instructions.

You will need to prepare the dough according to the given instructions on the package and set the dough aside for couple of hours. In some recipes, the pie crust is pre-baked to give it an extra crusty flavor before filling it. While other recipes indicate that everything goes in oven at the same time.

To prepare the sweet potato filling you will have to boil the potatoes and then mix all the other ingredients as directed by the recipe to add some flavor. To accelerate the process even more faster, instead of boiling the potatoes you can cook them in the microwave. Take of the skin and cut the sweet potatoes in small cubes and then place it in your microwave for about six to seven minutes. They will turn out perfectly just as you want them.

If you put them inside your microwave without peeling and cutting then its most likely that they will take a bit longer time to cook. Once cooked, you'll have to wait for a while to let them cool down before you peel their skin off. All this time could be save only if you peel and cut them before putting in the microwave oven.

The next step is to roll out the pie crust and thinly lay it in the baking tin. Pour the filling on top of the pie crust and put it in your oven for about 40 to 45 minutes. Once out of the oven, either serve hot or cold and with cream or ice cream according to your preference.

Many people think that this type of pie is a bit different from the normal variety and the crust wouldn't be crunchy enough but that is not the case at all. No one can even spot the different if they don't already know what they're eating because it tastes the same and feels the same as well.

Much the same as a typical pie, this kind of pie is likewise simple to execute. You don't need to take after any mind boggling formulas or invest more energy in your kitchen to prepare something to that effect. It is easy to make and tastes the same too.

Many people think that they cannot make something like this at home and its only shop bought. Although there are so many varieties available in the market but at the same time, it is possible to prepare some of your own at home if you prefer. Just follow the recipe and your pie will turn out just as you desired.
