Supper clubs may also be referred to as social clubs and these are the traditional types of dining establishments. However, the term may depend upon a particular region, but generally, these tend to present high class or high quality images while making the prices affordable. The newer usage of this term is now being referred to the underground restaurants.

In different places, you can see various types of older restaurants offering fine dining services with classic foods, and these are most preferred by most people having the age of 60 or above. For them, fine dining would mean serving baked potatoes, good stiff cocktails, and prime ribs. But in Wisconsin supper clubs, dishes are being considered to be in art forms.

The culture remains vital when it comes to the dining scenes in Wisconsin. And also, it is considered as an essential center for socialization in the distant communities. It also serves as the connection between the generations. Unlike the other restaurants, this is open only for supper.

Most restaurants like these are own by particular families and they are just living usually in the premises. Usually, the owners would keep funny hours when running the business. There some who are close on the winter season while some are open only during selected days. Different family owned restaurants are serving similar dishes and they only differ on the type of operations involved.

There are some things that can make you determine whether a restaurant is a supper club or not. First is the drink. Brandy old fashioned sweet drinks are being offered. Among all the countries, people in Wisconsin usually drink too much brandy. Each place may have different versions of this. Another is the salad bar or the relish tray that makes the food remain healthy despite of the prime rib cuts being used.

Typically, the foods served here are far different to those which are served in your homes, specifically because of the large sizes or portions. These types of restaurants are often found in the tourist areas. But they may also be found anywhere, and these places will not surely not let you just pass by them, unless you have really intended to be there. Good services will be provided, along with big portions of food. You can have your drink at their bar, have your dinner, and finish the night with another drink.

Some restaurants may also be attached with motels offered to visitors, specifically the tourists who are not wishing to go out and look for other food stores, thus, making their stay more convenient. There are even people who would prefer to drive long and dine in to the restaurant during weekends. They may need to drive for three to four hours to get there.
