Make It A Family Night And Eat At A Traditional Pizza Restaurant

By Jaclyn Hurley

Getting your whole family together for a sit-down meal can be accomplished by making plans to go to a traditional pizza restaurant in Toronto, ON. Tell everyone in the morning, before work and school, the plan. If someone feels like dressing up, and another wants to go in his or her work out clothes, everyone will fit in. Once there, you can decide on whether you will be ordering pizza or if everyone will have their own entree, the prices are not going to break you.

Once you have placed your order, get everyone over to the arcade area most pizza parlors have. Turn it into a fun competition, winner gets to pick the toppings off one slice of the loser's pizza, or something similar. The idea is to keep things fun and get everyone in a nice, family mood. Try a variety of games, so everyone has a chance at being the winner.

Some pizza places will have a salad bar. If the one you go to does, everyone can create a nice salad after playing a few games. You can ask the water or waitress to hold off on the main courses until everyone has finished their salad. It will be held in a warming tray or oven. This will keep it from getting cold on the table.

During the salad, and then once the main meal comes, do not rush. Take some time for conversation. Find out what everyone has been doing and what plans they have for the upcoming week. The cozy atmosphere is good for putting everyone at ease and getting them to open up.

As a family, try to help each other solve any problems they may be facing. If someone is having trouble with a school project, try to get others involved and helping. You may need to get things started if this is not something your family normally does. Unless there are some serious problems that need to be discussed, try to keep everyone happy and positive.

Of course, you need to make sure that everyone saves some room for dessert. A simple cannoli or even some coffee and cocoa will be a nice way to let things wind down a bit. The idea is to have as much time together as possible.

Once everyone is finished, make a bit of small talk and ask if there is anything else anyone would like to share. You want to thank everyone for taking time to be together and talk about when you can do it again. Now is a good time to let everyone in on any plans for chores or such that need to be done during the coming week too.

Often, when you have a meal at home, some of the family members may not be there. Schedules conflict and there is usually at least one person stepping away from the table for one thing or another. Going out for a nice, sit-down meal gives everyone a chance to enjoy the meal without having to do the cooking or worry about cleaning up afterwards. A pizza place offers family food, at reasonable prices, in an atmosphere that is cozy.
