Spice Up Your Dish With An Arizona Dry Rub

There is always more than cooking as a hobby. It is one of those things where anyone can have free exploration without going anywhere beyond his or her kitchen. Cooking might be a very difficult hobby but if you do it with your heart, it will be as easy as counting one, two and three. Some people considered it as a hobby but for some, it is a combination of art and adventure. It is a way to express their thoughts and a great reason to discover a completely new horizon. One of the most recent discoveries in cooking is the use of an Arizona dry rub. It is most popular on the Southern area of America, but these days chefs all over the world use them.

Many people grew fond of using dry rubs because of its flavor and versatility. It can be used to any meat to achieve a good texture on their dish. This kind of mixture is very popular on the southern part of the United States. If you want to give your usual grills to have a new twist, you may consider using it on your cooking too.

A person who wants his or her own mixture only needs the perfect kind of ingredients to make one. Even though you do not sweat in purchasing a bottle in the supermarket, it is still better to make your own. That way, you can be your own master chef by controlling the taste of your food.

In any kinds of dry rub, you the most basic thing that you need is are salts and sugars. You can choose any kinds of salt that you want. If you want something that is more is additive free, use a Kosher salt. But if you want something that is easy to blend with other ingredients, use a seasoned salt. For the sugars, highly refined sugar is recommended.

Spicy meals are always an all time favorite for every household so use some pepper. You can never go wrong with extra hotness by using ground pepper. If you like your meal to have that subtle spice, the white pepper can do that.

Transition spices are needed to mix together the contrasting flavors in your mixture. One of the most commonly used transition spice is a chili powder. Chili powders add pungency to any dish. It is best used for dishes made out of beef and pork.

The good thing about making your own rub is that you have the freedom to add more or less ingredients to your mixture. Other ingredients commonly used are paprika, ground coriander seeds and even coffee beans. It is a real wonder how innovative people can be these days. But if you are looking for that distinct flavor, grab some fresh thyme and add them to your mixture. It has this unique characteristic of retaining flavor so it is a big yes to keep your rub flavorful.

Add other spices that you love and start mixing everything in a bowl. Gradually add each ingredient using a wooden spoon. That would not take you too long to finish. After that, you may now rub your mixture to your meat. Place the remaining mixture in a small jar for future use.
