Benefits Of Using Frozen Vegetable Burgers

By Olivia Cross

Vegan and Vegetarian foods are often a desired or acquired taste. Many meat eaters can not even stand the thought of trying a substitute whether in a sandwich or entree. Some of the best frozen vegetable burgers taste almost identical to beef. With the onset of issues related to tainted livestock and food borne illness, more individuals are now turning to a diet which includes meat, poultry and seafood substitutes and other vegetarian foods.

One great thing about different brands of veggie burgers is that all can be made in different ways. Whether chopped up into chili, or severed in traditional recipes, these foods offer a lot in the way of meat substitutions and recipe enhancements.

Whether creating an amazing chili cheese burger, a pot of chili, or faux steaks with steak sauce, each brand generally works better than another. When it comes to these type dishes, Boca Grillers and traditional Boca vegan patties often hold up the best. Whereas, Amys brand and others tend to fall apart more easily when broken up or toppings added.

One of the best and most common recipes among veggie burger lovers is that of making styles close to those found in restaurants that only serve beef. For example, different restaurants generally offer different styles, mushroom swiss, grilled onion, pepper steak and the like. As such, it can be easy to obtain and add these ingredients to any brand of veggie burger.

Using these meat substitutions whether on a regular basis as part of a diet can provide a number of health benefits. As most are created from black beans, soy or veggies, all are quite healthy whether bought at a store, or prepared at home. Some meat eaters now eat these foods on a part-time basis to add variety, and others for the protein found in most brands.

When it comes to selecting veggie dogs, Tofu Pups and Smart Dogs are often two of the most common found in markets. While making vegetarian patties from black beans, lentils or other beans is often easy, creating veggie hot dogs from scratch is not. As such, most individuals prefer to purchase veggie dogs while still making some of the patties and other foods from scratch.

Vegetarians are often not looking for a taste that compares to beef, rather just food that taste good and is healthy in design. There are a number of different brands on the market though only a few reflect the taste of quality vegetables and grains. Some of the best of these include Amys, Boca Grillers, Garden Burger, Morningstar Farms and Trader's Joe's brands. Depending on the local area, individuals may also find a number of local, regional, national and international brands in the area.

Ultimately, it is best to try a number of different brands before deciding on a favorite. Also, while some patties hold up for additives and sauces, others do not. Deciding on which brand can often depend on what type of recipe in which these meat substitutions are to be used. When making recipes in which veggie patties can be cut up, then most any brand will work fine. Whereas, when adding toppings or other ingredient, generally the courser the patty, the better.
