Great Value At Marco Island Restaurants

By Bonnie Contreras

In today's tough economy many families are looking for bargains. This applies to eating out as much as every other part of life. Marco Island restaurants that offer the best value will always stay busy. Those places that realize that families need good value for their money along with a fun and friendly dining experience will keep guests coming back time after time.

A good family restaurant will always be busy. There are hungry visitors and residents of the Island who are looking for a great place to eat. The wonderful service begins the moment people walk through the door. A host or hostess will show them to their table and explain the specials. Children will get crayons and coloring pages to keep them entertained until the food arrives.

Those with older kids may want to try something a little more formal. If the kids are adventurous eaters maybe a lobster dinner would be just the ticket. Eating lobster can be a fun event for everyone. The meal comes with a set of tools to crack the shell and pick out every last morsel of meat. It is perfectly alright to use fingers to eat with and hand wipes are also provided. Many people look back fondly on their first lobster dinner.

Italian food is also an excellent choice. The portions are very large and it is often easy to share a dish. Most places serve a generous helping of fresh bread for the table. It is so delicious it can be difficult to leave room for the main course. Salads are also a big part of an Italian meal. They are freshly made to order and have olives, mozzarella cheese and roasted red peppers. A light balsamic vinaigrette dressing is perfect to drizzle over the top.

A good old fashioned steak restaurant is just as popular as ever. There are many cuts to choose from. Some people love the huge prime rib, served with a baked potato and some farm fresh veggies. Others may go for something a little smaller but still as tasty. A rib eye or T bone are also excellent choices and will be cooked to each persons individual taste.

Dessert is always an important part of eating out. Many restaurants are now finding that their guests love to try anything home made. Although it is more time consuming home made fare just tastes better. Fresh apple or cherry pie warmed up with a generous helping of ice cream is the perfect way to end the meal.

Beverages are an important part of the overall dining experience. A high class restaurant will have a well stocked bar and extensive selection of wines. Stocking locally produced wines is now very popular. This not only helps local businesses but also introduces the customers to something a little different.

There are Marco Island restaurants to suit every taste and budget. Those with a large family will find some great places offering hearty portions of home cooked food at great prices. Anyone looking for a romantic dinner with a good bottle of wine will also have no problem finding an outstanding restaurant.
