Make Easy And Healthy Recipes For Those With Little Time

By Angela Wilson

Many people want to eat right but are often faced with challenges when attempting to do so. Time is usually the main reason, or finding meals that are filling and good to eat regularly. One thing most working adults want is to have meals that can be prepared without a lot of fuss, like measuring ingredients. Finding easy and healthy recipes that are also tasty is easier than most people think.

One reason why people love to eat fast food is for convenience. Even when a person gets bad service or something did not taste as good as it did last time, this normally will not stop them from eating at that same restaurant in the future. Some food items may be cheap but they should also be consumed in moderation.

One reason is that these foods are loaded with saturated oils, salt, and simple carbohydrates. Though some places like to offer certain entrees as a healthier option, these also contain excessive amounts of sugar and preservatives, which are hard to fully digest. The calorie content is so high on a lot of restaurant offerings that a person may want to limit their trips if they want to get fit.

Homemade versions are much healthier because it is easy to control the oil and salt. Common hacks are using a thin but dense bread to make pizza. Instead of canned pizza sauce, season crushed tomatoes with fresh garlic and basil. Cut more calories by using a water based mozzarella only and adding sliced vegetables instead of using processed meat.

Instead of topping meats with cheese or creamy sauces, adding a marinade or rub gives flavor without excess calories. Lean meats, poultry, and meatless products made from plants or soy can be used. In a large food bag or bowl, cover food generously with marinade before letting it sit for a few hours, or overnight. Then cook in a pan or place inside broiler oven.

Many people find sugar one of the hardest things to give up when deciding to eat healthy. However, a number of alternatives that have some of the nutrients sugar lacks include raw honey, molasses, and pineapple juice. Blue agave nectar is a good choice for preventing sugar spikes or those who need to give up sugar entirely.

Preparation is difficult for those who work long hours or have other obligations. However, there are some wonderful shortcuts that will allow anyone to eat healthy in less than half an hour. A small ounce of protein can cook thoroughly in an broiler oven or pan while frozen chopped vegetables cook on a stove top. Green salad kits come not only eliminate having to wash and prep produce but come with premeasured condiments.

Fiber is essential in any diet. Besides giving a feeling of fullness, it can help rid the body of undigested food particles. Instead of having sides made from white flour, eating items made from whole wheat or unprocessed grains can have a lot more benefits. These are just a few suggestions that will help in having a balanced meal, which is necessary to remain satiated from just one meal.
